VALENTINE’S DAY RECIPE

Whether you are single or in a relationship, Valentine’s day is all about love – and who doesn’t love cake? Surprise your friends or partner with a super delicious cake or maybe try bake it together.

Here is a recipe for our favorite fudgy, intense chocolate brownie. It is gluten and dairy free and crazy delicious. It is as easy to make as it is addictive.

Ingredients:

Brownie:

  • 100 g dark chocolate
  • 100 g coconut oil
  • 100g almond flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 100 g coconut sugar
  • 100 g mashed dates (preferably medjool)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 dl of strong coffee
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 70 g nuts(whatever you prefer – we use walnuts)

Chocolate Ganache:

  • 60 g dark chocolate
  • 1 dl coconut cream

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 175 C or 350 F
  2. Melt chocolate and coconut oil together in a bowl
  3. Combine your eggs and cocnut sugar in another bowl and whisk well
  4. Add almond flour and mashed dates
  5. Mix salt, coffee and cocoa powder with the melted chocolate mixture
  6. Mixed the two bowls gently together and add your favorite nuts
  7. Lightly grease a baking pan and line it with baking paper
  8. Pour the mixture in the pan and bake it for 20-30 minutes until golden
  9. Let it cool (this is the hard part 😉 )
  10. While your cake is cooling prepare your ganache by melting the chocolate together with coconut cream until it has the right creamy texture
  11. Put your ganache on top of your cooled brownie
  12. ENJOY

For a Vegan alternative you can easily swap the eggs with chia-eggs. Simply soak 3 tbsp of chia seeds in 6 tbsp of water in 10 minutes.
