The Food Diary of a Yoga Teacher

This woman wakes up with the sun, practices yoga daily and eats 99% plant-based foods as a testament to Ahimsa– the philosophy of non-violence, non-harming and compassion for all living things. She eats eggs for the natural supply of Vitamin B12, as you cannot find it in any non-animal product but most important to blood building and nerve protection. If we could take a sneak peak into her fridge we would be sure to find tons of organic products, Ayurvedic teas, herbs & spices, coconut syrup and dark chocolate 🙂

FIRST THING IN THE MORNING
1 glass hot ginger-lemon water

BREAKFAST
Oatmeal-Chia-Flex Seed porridge with raisins, cinnamon, macca, black strap molasses or coconut syrup, spoon of coconut cream and coconut oil & a cup of herbal tea. When out of bed a bit late, I grap the vegan protein vanilla shake @ Avocado Cafe

MID MORNING (AFTER MY WORKOUT)
Energy or Goji Ball @ Motion Fitness Bali

LUNCH
Nasi Campur (Red rice or Quinoa, broccoli, kidney beans, spinach, green beans, tempeh)

DINNER
Vegetable soup or sauteed Veggies. I add falafel balls/humus or sweet potato hush browns when very hungry.

TREAT
If I’m feeling like a treat I make a warm Apple pie smoothie . I blend an apple with a medium piece of ginger, a handful of almonds, teaspoon moringa or macha powder (optional), 3-4 dates, pinch of cinnamon and 200ml warm (not boiling) water. Or I have one of my favorite Berry – Cherry Delights @ Avocado Cafe in Canggu
