Natural Beauty – Coconut Oil or the Secret of Balinese Beauties

Coconut oil is used in many natural beauty products, and for good reason: It’s naturally antibacterial and anti-fungal, coconut oil for skin is an excellent moisturizer, it can penetrate hair better than other oils, and, well, it smells soooo good. In fact, all you need is one thing: Raw (and preferably organic) virgin coconut oil.

Make-Up Remover

Put a little of coconut oil on a cotton ball and gently sweep it over your eyes and face. The oil does a great job breaking down waxy, inky eye makeup, and leaves the delicate area hydrated, too. Coconut oil even works on waterproof mascara!  Once you’re done, wash your face as usual.

Hair conditioner
Coconut oil is better able to penetrate hair than mineral and sunflower oil. Apply a quarter-size dollop to your hair, comb it, and then pile it into a loose bun. You’ll want to place a soft towel over your pillow or sleep in a shower cap. In the morning, shampoo as usual with a gentle cleanser. Or after shampooing, apply a generous amount of the oil to wet strands and twist hair into a bun. Let it sit for at least five minutes before rinsing to add moisture and shine back into limp locks.

Body moisturizer
Virgin organic coconut oil for skin can speed up wound healing, it is effective in increasing hydration and reducing water loss in seriously dry skin. It smells delicious, is very affordable, and leaves my skin feeling nourished and smooth.

Body scrub
Create a wonderfully moisturizing and inexpensive body scrub To make your own: Mix  ½ c of coconut oil with 1 c of brown sugar or sea salt. If you like add in five drops of your favorite essential oil or some pure vanilla extract. Use your hands to rub it over any rough patches of skin. The scrub moisturizes while removing dead skin cells

Eye – cream

The skin under your eyes is thin and delicate, making it prone to fine lines, puffiness, and dark circles. If you hate the idea of dropping big bucks on expensive eye cream, then sub in coconut oil. Just rub a pinch in between fingers to warm it up before patting it underneath your eyes.

Shaving Cream

Ran out of shaving cream? Coconut oil can be a perfect shaving cream replacement. Just warm the jar under the water and smooth onto legs before shaving. Your razor will glide smoothly, allowing for a super-close shave, and your legs will be moisturized from the oil in the process.

Natural deodorant

Coconut Oil is known for its natural antibacterial properties and can be used as a natural deodorant. Just apply coconut oil on your armpits 🙂

As you can see you can use coconut oi for SO many things…it has incredible health benefits – You will be amazed!
