DIY Hydrating facemasks
Keeping your face hydrated is very important to prevent aging and to look fresh and smooth. Not only in winter, but also in hot weather your skin can become dull, dry and lifeless. We have a couple of DIY hydrating face mask recipes for you that is good for oily, dry, normal and sensitive skin types. Don’t look too far, most probably you have these ingredients in your kitchen cabinets.
Very important is to start to RELAX… Turn your phone off, play your favorite music and start filling your mind with happy thoughts.
For oily skin, you can use the Avocado, Egg White, and Lime Juice facial mask.
Take 1 ripe mashed avocado, 1 egg white and 1 tablespoon of fresh lime juice. Mix it in a bowl and massage it on your clean face and neck. Leave it for 25 minutes and let the mask do its magic. Rinse it off with lukewarm water and do this once or twice a week.
Cucumber and Aloe Vera masks are amazing for dry skin. Aloe vera hydrates, heals and soothes like no other natural ingredient. And cucumber has cooling and cleansing properties, which makes this combination perfect!
Take 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel and ½ cucumber. Skin the cucumber, remove the seeds and cut it in pieces. Blend the cucumber in a blender until you get a fine, smooth paste and put it into a small bowl with the aloe vera gel. Mix it together and massage it on your face and neck. Leave it for 30 minutes and rinse it off with cool water. Feel refreshed instantly!
Another great hydrating mask is the mixture of Egg, Honey, and Coconut Oil.
For this mixture, you need to beat 1 egg and add a ¼ tablespoon of coconut oil and 1 tablespoon of honey. Mix it all until a fine paste. Apply to your face and neck and leave it for 25 minutes. While coconut oil and honey will hydrate your skin, the egg will rejuvenate it!
Last but definitely not least is the Honey, Oatmeal, and Milk facial mask.
This mask nourishes your skin and makes it glowing and soft. Honey, act like a natural nourishing agent while the oats will prevent you from acne and blackheads.
Take 3 tablespoons of dried oats, 1 tablespoon of honey and 1 tablespoon of full-fat milk. Mix this together and use a blender to make a fine smooth paste. Apply it to your face and neck and leave it for 20-25 minutes.
After applying one of these home-made masks you can carry on with your normal beauty routine.
